Who are the Zomi People
The Zomi people is an ethnic group indigenous to the regions spanning northwestern Myanmar (Chin State and parts of Sagaing Division), northeastern India (notably Manipur, Mizoram, and Nagaland), and parts of Bangladesh, particularly the Chittagong Hill Tracts. The Zomi have rich cultural traditions, including distinct festivals, dances, and attire. Since the 1970s, many Zomi have migrated for education, employment, and to escape persecution..
